  2. Citizens can obtain weather-related information by calling 9243345433.
  3. The “Sidilu” App, developed by KSNDMC, offers:
    • Weather information
    • Access to download the Damini App developed by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)
    • Lightning and thunderstorm-related alerts
  4. The system provides alerts for areas where lightning is likely to occur within the next 30 minutes, helping people take precautionary measures.
  5. The following mobile applications can be used to access weather and disaster-related information:
    • Sidilu App
    • Damini App
  6. The Sachet App, developed by NDMA, provides weather forecasts, disaster warnings, and emergency alerts to users.
  7. Citizens are encouraged to use these applications to receive timely information and alerts regarding weather conditions, lightning, thunderstorms, and other natural disasters.

Monsoon Rain Precautions

Before Going Out

    • Always carry an umbrella or raincoat.
    • Wear waterproof footwear with good grip to avoid slipping.
    • Keep important documents and electronic devices in waterproof bags.

While Walking or Traveling

  • Avoid walking through stagnant or flooded water.
  • Be cautious of open manholes, potholes, and slippery roads.
  • Maintain a safe distance from electric poles and fallen wires.
  • Drive slowly and keep vehicle headlights on during heavy rain.

Electrical Safety

  • Do not touch electrical switches or appliances with wet hands.
  • Disconnect sensitive electronic devices during thunderstorms.
  • Report exposed or damaged electrical wires immediately.

At Home and Office

  • Ensure proper drainage around the building.
  • Check roofs, windows, and doors for leaks.
  • Keep emergency items such as flashlights, batteries, drinking water, and first-aid kits ready.

Health Precautions
